    North opened in 1929. The school is located at 1437 Rochester in Wichita. The 6A Redskins play in the Wichita City League.

    North has won 34 state championships: baseball (1949, 1950, 1952, 1966), boys basketball (1954, 1987), boys golf (1938 two-man, 1940, 1940 two-man, 1944 two-man, 1947, 1947 two-man, 1948, 1948 two-man), boys soccer (1989), boys swimming (1932, 1933, 1934, 1939, 1946), boys track (1933, 1935, 1951, 1956 indoor, 1970 indoor, 1970 outdoor), wrestling (1933, 1941), girls basketball (1975, 1977), girls bowling (2008), girls golf (1973 two-woman spring, 1973 two-woman fall, 1974 two-woman).
