    Carroll opened in 1964. The school is located at 8101 W. Central in Wichita. The 5A Golden Eagles play in the Wichita City League.

    Carroll has won 50 state championships: baseball (2005, 2012), boys bowling (2009), boys cross country (1986, 1993, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), football (1978, 2012), boys track (2005), wrestling (2002, 2005, 2006, 2008), girls basketball (2004), girls bowling (2009), girls cross country (1979, 1980, 1998, 1999, 2007, 2010, 2011), girls golf (1976, two-girl), softball (1979, 1980, 1987, 1991, 1993, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013), girls tennis (1978), girls track (2011), volleyball (1971, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001).

    Bishop Carroll senior Brittany Finney’s penchant for hitting home runs resulted in her setting the Kansas career home run record (26) on April 9 when she hit three in a doubleheader. She had two home runs in an 11-0 win over Maize South in the 2014 Class 5A title game. Full Story →
