Girls roundup: Vogel scores 32 in Clearwater victory
Bryna Vogel scored 32 points and helped Clearwater reach 8-0 in Division IV of the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League, rallying to beat the visiting Circle girls 57-55 in overtime on Tuesday night.
Clearwater (13-4) trailed by 11 entering the fourth quarter. Haley Reibenspies helped the Indians with 3 of 4 free throws in the extra period, and Ivy Sizemore had 11 points.
Talia Highbarger had 13 points and Kate Wilson had 11 for Circle (10-8, 3-5).
Heights 61, Northwest 41 — Kiersten Parks scored 21 pointsa nd Annalys Benally added 14 for visiting Heights, which held Northwest to five third-quarter points to take a comfortable lead. Cassie Pauls had 11 for Northwest.
South 53, North 14 — South took a half-game lead in the City League over idle Kapaun with an easy victory. Madison Northcutt led the Titans with 12 points.
East 54, West 18 — Kimarra Lee led the Aces with 14 points in her final regular-season home game.
Andale 36, Augusta 25 — Brittany Meyer and Lauren Rowland each scored 12 points to help visiting Andale complete a season sweep of Augusta. Meyer scored seven points in the third quarter and Rowland added seven in the final 2:12 of the game as Andale (10-7, 5-2) pulled away. Casady Marlnee led Augusta with eight points.
Buhler 60, El Dorado 32 — Kellie Burns had 16 points and Alex Keller added 14 for Buhler, which built a big first-quarter lead. Mikala Ruff had 16 for El Dorado.
Newton 61, Campus 30 — The Railers, led by Taylor Stahly’s 27 points, led 31-15 at halftime. Reagan Brown had 13 to lead Campus.
Wellington 55, Collegiate 38 — Tayland French had 18 points to lead Wellington, which held Collegiate to eight first-half points. Jordan Hull led the Spartans with 10 points.
Hutchinson 29, Derby 28 — Shayla DeGarmo had 13 points as Hutchinson won in overtime. Katie Hartman led Derby with 10.
Andover Central 74, Maize South 27 — Brooke Pedersen (17 points) was one of five Jaguars in double figures in the Division II victory. Maize South, led by Alexa Brockel’s 10 points, was held to nine points in the first half.
McPherson 58, Mulvane 56 — The host Wildcats, led by Aubree Burkhart’s 29 points, rallied in the fourth quarter but couldn’t catch the Division III leader. McPherson, led by Abbie Pedersen’s 20 points, took the lead in the third quarter by outscoring Mulvane 25-9.
Valley Center 67, Arkansas City 47 — Megan Barnes had 21 points and Kylie Webber had 20 for the visiting Hornets (10-6). Jordan Salas and Kaitlyn Potter had 16 each for Ark City.

Trinity Academy 61, Chaparral 32 — The host Knights (12-6) built a 43-12 halftime lead and cruised. Shiloh Miller had 11 points and Kayleigh Schrag nine for Trinity.
Garden Plain 40, Conway Springs 27 — Lizzie Costello had 11 points and Noelle Dooley and Madison Schmelzer had 10 each for the host Owls.
Independent 40, Belle Plaine 33 — Visiting Independent improved to 8-10 behind 13 points from Alise Coccetella and 11 from Sydney Clark.
