Boys roundup: Evans, Buchanan combine for 51 in Eisenhower win
Trevon Evans scored 29 points and Tyler Buchanan 22 points for Eisenhower in its Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division II victory over Andover on Tuesday night in Goddard.
The Tigers built an 11-point halftime lead, but Andover rallied in the fourth quarter at the free-throw line. Adam DeKoning had 25 points to lead the Trojans and Bryan Klusener had 17.
East 74, West 30 — The Blue Aces blitzed host West with a 29-point first quarter. Tyas Martin and Traevon McGarity had 14 points each for East. Javon Reed had 11 for West.
Andale 55, Circle 43 — Hunter Knoblauch had 16 points and Lane Macari 14 in the Indians’ road victory. Dylan Driver had 17 to lead Circle.
Augusta 55, Collegiate 38 — The host Orioles pulled away for a Division IV win in the fourth quarter behind 14 points each from Conner Hurst and Tristan Finch. Cameron Christian and Brodey Dick had 11 each for Collegiate.
Derby 67, Salina South 53 — Derby built a first-quarter lead and won by double digits. Keaton Steadman had 18 points, while James Conley and Jeremy Dunham had 15 points each for the Panthers’ road victory.
Maize 63, Goddard 50 — Ky-Sean Johnson scored 17 points and Aaron Shaw had 13 for visiting Maize in a Division I win. Tucker Vang led Goddard with 15 points.
Maize South 62, Andover Central 51 — Kade Kordonowy had 18 points and Brett Barney added 14 in Maize South’s victory. Andover Central, which scored 24 points in the fourth quarter after 27 in the first three, was led by Darraja Parnell’s 15 points.
Newton 60, Campus 47 — Jack Kingsley had 17 points, Josh Carlgren 13 and Tevin Berry 11 for visiting Newton in a Division I victory.
Valley Center 47, Arkansas City 42 — Jacob Brittain had 19 points to lead the host Hornets, who trailed by a point entering the fourth quarter. Skyler Bryant had 14 to lead Ark City.
Winfield 61, Mulvane 60 — Winfield led by 11 points in the first quarter but had to hold on at the end for the Division III home victory. Will Adler had 21 points and Jacob Dennett had 16 for the Vikings. Connor Dempsey led four Mulvane players in double figures with 15 points.

Independent 78, Belle Plaine 46 — Jonny Richmond scored 18 points and Michael Kay had 17 for the host Panthers in a rout.
Trinity Academy 58, Bluestem 29 — Matt Jones had 15 points and teammates Ben Mosley, Preston Miller and Jacob Johnson had 10 each in the Knights’ victory. Brett Elsen had 17 to lead Bluestem.
Medicine Lodge 51, Garden Plain 41 — Scott Angell had 25 points to lead the Indians to a road victory. Scott Beecher added 14 points. Troy Puetz had 10 to lead the Owls.
