Boys roundup: Morris leads Eisenhower past Campus

Junior Matt Morris scored 22 points to lead Eisenhower’s boys basketball team to a 65-49 victory over Campus in an Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League non-division game on Friday night at Haysville.

Trevon Evans scored 14 points for Eisenhower, which made 18 of 23 free throws. Cody Nicks and Marcus Saucedo led Campus with 10 points each.

Andale 63, Buhler 42 — Jason Hermreck led three Andale players in double figures with 17 points as the Indians rolled to a win over visiting Buhler. Ben Seiler had 13 points and Hunter Knoblauch added 10 for Andale, which hit six three-pointers. Jace Williams led Buhler with 12 points.

Valley Center 57, Newton 44 — Valley Center hit 16 of 26 free throws and Newton shot two total free throws as the Hornets rolled to a win at home. Blake Crager led Valley Center with 19 points and Braden Tormey added 13 points. Zach Brown was the other Hornet in double figures with 10 points.

Clearwater 55, Mulvane 50 — John Becker and Reed VanDeest each scored 14 points as Clearwater again defeated Mulvane. The two teams just met in the title game of the Chaparral tournament. Nolan Smith led Mulvane in scoring with 15 points. Clearwater hit 9 of 15 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off Mulvane.

Andover 61, Salina Central 32 — Brady Carter scored 15 points and Andover hit 11 of 13 free throws to defeat Salina Central.
