City League
* East is still trying to sort out its roster, but will have a solid sprint relay team.
* Juniors Jordan Tymony, Matthew Wright and Anthony Shaw return to lead an inexperience Heights team.
* Kapaun loses much of its state experience, but does have Tim Wescott (distance) and Mesfin Small (relays) returning.
* North will be young, but will have Deonte Daniels (sprints), Dominic Farinas (throws), Brandon Dorion (distance) and Luis Sosa (distance) to build around.
* Northwest returns much of last year's talent in Robbie Martinez-Garcia (distance), Daniel Herbert (distance), Andrew Etheridge (hurdles), Demarcus Robinson (sprints), Kyle Mellard (throws) and Jacob Davis (throws).
* South will be a young, inexperienced squad looking to build on individual improvement.
* Southeast will score points in the distance races with Skylar Gutierrez, Austyn Noblitt and Steven Calloway returning.
* West is trying to boost its number and will be inexperienced this season.
Area
* More than 60 boys are out for Andale to help defend its regional title, including state qualifiers James Tipton (relays), Tyler Melichar (relays), Andrew Rowland (pole vault), Ryan Horsch (300 hurdles) and Thad Martin (1600).
* Andover has two with state experience in Adam Highfill (100) and Grant Ralston (triple jump).
* Belle Plaine returns the bulk of its state-qualifying relay teams, and will be led by senior Coy Throop.
* Bluestem will be led by Clint Solis, Alex Muckenthaler and Ty Yolund.
* Distance continues to be a strength for Campus in state qualifiers Brock Nooney and Bryant Keirns. Garrett Cantrell (javelin) and Devran Cochran (sprints) also bring state experience.
* Plenty of young talent on Chaparral will look up to upperclassmen John Siale (thrower), Kirk Williams (distance) and Codie Barker (hurdler).
* Cheney will contend for a league title behind plenty of experience in Seth Alstrom, Derek Hrokey, Sean Osler, Taylor Goldsmith, Dalton Gould and Brian Dewey.
* Alex Gardinier won the state title in javelin last season as a freshman for Circle . Jacob Engels, Jameson Fay and Benny Garcia also return.
* Collegiate only has 15 boys out this season, but should get good performances from Josh Barrett, Max Craddock, Raymond Taylor and Myles Copeland.
* Caleb Brill, Brian Doffy, Cory Misak and Alec Worley offer versatility for Conway Springs .
* Meshach Kennedy (hurdles), Bryce Fisher (shot put) and Neil Metler (distance) offer state champion hopefuls for Derby . Cameron Cornelius also returns.
* El Dorado will look to Michael Riedl, Spencer Jensen, Dale Nuckolls, Ben Jiles and Casey Nightengale this season.
* Steven Howard, a multi-event athlete, returns for Eureka .
* Goddard brings back the majority of its state-qualifying relay teams. Garrett Smith, Ramontae Green and D'Anthony Miller highlight the list.
* Seniors Jared Regehr, David Murphy and Kyle Sooter lead Halstead , which also returns Dakota Becker.
* Hesston has its largest team ever and will be led by seniors Zach Baumgartner, Mack Richtig and Chad Wollenberg.
* Nathan Vogel is a state qualifier in the 400 back for Hillsboro .
* Hutchinson has seniors Kyle Eldridge, Cooper Bell, Cameron Sprague, Wes Warren, Josh Smith and Deonta Rogers.
* State qualifiers return in Michael Mesh, Will Bothwell, Brandon Koenigsman and Paul Cuellar for Hutch Trinity .
* Brothers Chris and Jordan Speed combined for over half of Independent 's team points last season.
* Kingman has two league champs returning in the throws in Breck Knoblauch (discus) and Blake Bergkamp (shot put).
* Six state qualifiers return for Maize . Those include Miles Ukaoma, Garrett Hoch, Mike Day, Lucas Larkin, Scott Hendricks and Ryan Hopkins.
* Medicine Lodge only has 11 out for the team this season.
* Another successful season should be on the way for Mulvane on the heels of its distance program. Nikki Trooien-Smith, Wyatt James, Josh Hansen, Jesse Hobbs, Oliver Hughes and Mick Belden all return.
* Not much is back from the state title team for Newton , but building pieces include seniors Miguel Johns (sprints) and Tyler Rambo (throws).
* A strong junior class will boost Pretty Prairie , which includes Cody Howell, Isaac Williams, Daniel Krehbiel and Josh Kafuman.
* Remington will be looking to establish depth behind Jake Green, Caleb Cherryholmes, Jerry Bennett and Adrian Nethereot.
