Blake Bell threw five touchdown passes and rushed for Carroll’s other four as the Eagles won a high-scoring battle of unbeaten teams in Class 5A-District 8.

Carroll (9-0) sewed up the second seed in the western half of the Class 5A playoffs and will play host to Newton (7-2) in next Friday’s opening round.

Tyler Nance caught two touchdown passes from Bell, who hit four receivers for scores.

Liberal (3-6) travels to Hutchinson next week for a first-round game.
